Chris Cornish, MS, ATC, CES
Chris Cornish enters his tenth year with Sounders FC after gaining experience in MLS with FC Dallas and D.C. United, and in the English Premier League with Fulham. A native of Surrey, England, Cornish received his degree in sports therapy from the University of Hertfordshire, where he also served as captain of the soccer team. He worked as a sports therapist for Watford’s Academy and Kingstonian FC before going to Montana State University Billings, where he earned his Master’s degree in athletic training while playing two seasons for the Yellowjackets. Cornish played soccer at the semi-professional and collegiate levels, and holds an FA coaching license. Cornish and his wife, Sara, live in Kirkland.
Paul Lombardo, ATC
Paul Lombardo is entering his seventh year in MLS and his fourth year with the Seattle Sounders as Lead Assistant Athletic Trainer. Previous work experience with MLS includes three years with FC Dallas. His responsibilities include assisting in all aspects of medical care, including injury prevention, treatment and rehabilitation, and the overall well-being of the first team players. His mission is to use his skills as an athletic trainer to help and heal professional athletes so that they can perform at their highest potential.
Paul graduated from University of Nevada Las Vegas with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and is currently working on his Master of Science in Rehabilitation Sciences. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his lovely wife Lindsay and dog, Basil Hayden. In an attempt to model work-life balance, Paul also enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with my mother, Carmen Lombardo, and brother, Capt. Andrew Lombardo, USAF.
