The first Head Athletic Trainer in Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) history, Sean Kupiec brings extensive MLS experience and a diverse medical background to L.A. Entering his 10th season as a Head Athletic Trainer in Major League Soccer (MLS), Kupiec previously led the athletic training staff of the New England Revolution, Chivas USA and Minnesota United. He also served as the head athletic trainer for the MLS All-Stars in the 2008 MLS All-Star Game.
A recognized performance enhancement specialist by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), Kupiec spent the 2006 and 2007 seasons on the medical staff of the New England Patriots (NFL), assisting the 2007 AFC Champions.
Kupiec graduated from Springfield College in 2004 and received a Master’s degree in exercise and sports science in 2006 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
The Utica, New York native and his wife Lesley live in Beverly Hills and enjoy playing Trivia and getting together with friends.
Entering his fourth season in Major League Soccer (MLS), Miguel Motolongo joins Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) after three seasons as the Performance Analyst and Strength Coach for the Colorado Rapids.
A certified athletic trainer (BOC) and strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), Motolongo is also full body-certified in Active Release Techniques and a certified Level 1 SmartTools practitioner.
Motolongo graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a degree in Athletic Training and received a Master’s degree in Sports Science from Florida State University. He has worked on the athletic training staff of the Fort Lauderdale Strikers (NASL), Florida Atlantic University football team and Florida State women’s soccer and baseball teams.
A native of Valencia, Venezuela, Motolongo grew up in Weston, Florida. He stays active by playing basketball, hockey, golf and snowboarding.
