Jon MacGregor is in his third season with Crew SC and his first campaign as Head Athletic Trainer with Columbus Crew SC in 2017 after spending two years with the club as Assistant Athletic Trainer. MacGregor joined the Black & Gold during preseason preparations in 2015 after spending four-and-a-half years with Vancouver Whitecaps FC, serving in the previous three campaigns in the capacity of First Team Assistant Athletic Trainer and Head Athletic Trainer for their residency program.
MacGregor joined Vancouver as the Head Athletic Trainer for the Whitecaps FC Residency program in October of 2010. He worked two full seasons and six training camps with the NFL's Seattle Seahawks before the transition to Whitecaps FC.
He graduated from Boise State University with a bachelor's degree in Athletic Training and earned his master's degree in Sports Management from Southern New Hampshire University in 2015. He is a certified and licensed ATC.
Originally born and raised in Boise, Idaho, MacGregor now lives in Columbus with his wife, Kate and their two daughters, Haddie and Gwyneth. They enjoy traveling, especially to the Hawaiian Islands.
Chris Shenberger is in his first season as Assistant Athletic Trainer with Columbus Crew SC in 2017 after joining in January of this year for preseason preparations.
Before joining Crew SC, he spent four years at Northwestern University as the Associate Athletic Trainer for the Men’s Soccer Team. Prior to his time at Northwestern University, Shenberger was the Head Athletic Trainer for Case Western Reserve University.
Shenberger graduated from Georgia State University with a master’s degree in Athletic Training. Prior to that, he earned a bachelor’s degree at Capital University in Athletic Training. Shenberger has also regularly worked with U.S. Soccer at the youth level since 2007.
Shenberger lives in Columbus with his wife, Jennifer and his son, Shea. He enjoys running marathons in his spare time. The family has two dogs.
