Who We Are
The Professional Soccer Athletic Trainers’ Society is comprised of the Athletic Trainers and Athletic Therapists on staff with MLS, USL, NWSL, National Teams and other leagues in the US. Our members are also the comprehensive healthcare providers for professional soccer players and work collaboratively to shape league policy to elevate standards of care.
PSATS serves to encourage and promote the consistent application of the most advanced knowledge and techniques in the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of sports injuries in professional soccer players. We seek to foster education and provide our members with current ideas, techniques and scientific data relating to these athletic training pillars. We strive to unite as well as promote the profession of athletic training within Major League Soccer and beyond.
Our History
Est. 2004
We are a relatively young organization, but our members are driven and as professional soccer continues to grow rapidly in North America, so do our ranks. We have recently re-branded and launching this website continues our commitment to building a strong foundation for our members and the advancement of athletic training in professional soccer.
Other Professional Athletic Trainer Organizations
PSATS Athletic Trainers represent only a portion of professional athletics in North America. The relationship with other professional sports organizations is vital for our membership.
Our Committees
PSATS is comprised of several subcommittees tasked with daily operations and efforts to serve both our membership and the advancement of the profession of athletic training.
